B-I-N-G-Oh, Quarantine

Some Super Awesome People™ have discovered that a good way to help us regular-awesome folks get through our self-isolation/work-from-home/quarantine lives is with a little game of B-I-N-G-O.

Bingo is easy to play and popular with folks from ages 5 to 105—and Quarantine Bingo doesn’t even need a church basement or a punny Bingo caller. All you need is a good Bingo card, and you can challenge your friends/family/social network/random strangers to a game of “what you did when you weren’t allowed to do most things.”

  • I-17: Still stuck in quarantine?
  • G-52: Running out of things to do?
  • O-68: Try Quarantine Bingo; it’s pretty great.

Here are some free Quarantine Bingo cards for your (endless?) amusement, and links to create your own.

Indoors/Outdoors Bingo: The Washington Post went all-out with these Indoor/Outdoor Bingo Cards. Inspired by road trip Bingo games, this version has an I-SPY twist, with cards dedicated to things you might see while sheltering-in-place indoors or while venturing outdoors for exercise (at a safe 6-ft distance, of course). There are four designs for each version.

Work-From-Home Bingo: McSweeney’s has published a Working From Home During a Global Pandemic Bingo card, with its typical dry humor. The squares range from the ambitious (“Put pants on before dialing in”) to the unfortunate (“Full screen freeze with mouth wide open”) to the inevitable (“Existential dread”).

New York City Bingo: Gothamist, the ultimate online source for local NYC news, created a Social Distancing Bingo card after New York state went on PAUSE. The NYC-inspired squares include activities such as “stoop coffee”, “tipping your delivery person well”, and “Cuomo pre-show music.”

Social Distancing Bingo: With a focus on activities that are good for mental health and can help you relax, Healthgrades.com has a Social Distancing Bingo card with health-positive activities such as “Practiced Yoga”, “Went for a bike ride”, and “Slept 8+ hours”.

Bingo for Healthcare Workers: Over at Bingo Baker, the It’s Corona Time! bingo card is geared towards healthcare workers and things they are likely to see/hear/do on the job during the pandemic. Bingo Baker even lets you create your own bingo cards —you can use a pre-made card to start or create your own from scratch.

Even more Bingo Cards:

And hopefully a Bingo game you can’t win: Mindy Macfarlane made a June 2020 Predictions bingo card with such (not terribly) outlandish predictions as “Brown Recluse Spiders evolve wings”, “Sharks with laser beams”, and “Cthulhu”.
